“I think that North Tyneside is great for a number of reasons. The North East as a wider entity benefits from three great universities within easy reach, a booming tech hub, and of course there’s the added benefit that we are a naturally friendly people. This helps with customer service and interactions; we also do a lot of consulting in our line of work and the friendliness of the people in the region is a great asset.

“North Tyneside specifically is a great location for us because we’ve got access to major roads, making it a very easy commuting spot for our people. In general, we’ve found that – compared to where we used to be in the city centre – being based here has opened us up to a bigger catchment area.”

Since moving to Cobalt, the business has benefitted from the excellent transport links that allow more than one million people easy access to the park within a 30-minute travel time. “There’s the obvious cost benefit, if you’re in the centre everything from food on a lunch break to letting premises is more expensive. We manage to get the benefits of being close to places like Newcastle and Sunderland, without having to face the drawbacks that would come with being based in the city centre.”
